HIFU Skin Tightening
Facial Skin Lifting & firming (Anti-sagging)
Students will learn how to utilize HIFU technology and the device for the desired outcomes.
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a medical and cosmetic procedure that uses focused sound waves to heat and target tissues. In cosmetic treatments, it stimulates collagen production to non-invasively lift and tighten sagging skin.
Medically, HIFU treats prostate cancer, uterine fibroids, and chronic pain. In the Aesthetic field, often called a non-surgical facelift, this application targets the deep layers of the skin (like the SMAS layer) to promote natural collagen regeneration. Hence, HIFU-mediated neocollagenasis will result in firmer and plumper, skin that subsequently promotes lifted facial skin.

CoolContouring®
Localized body Fat freezing (Cryolipolysis)
CoolContouring® is a registered and copyrighted terminology by the BC Academy of Medical Aesthetics and Skin Care. The course covers training on the fat freezing device and procedure as well as utilizing the Cryolipolysis technology widely known as fat freezing to achieve body slimming and excess fat removal.
CoolContouring® is an effective nonsurgical fat reduction procedure. It uses controlled cold temperatures to freeze and destroy stubborn subcutaneous fat cells without damaging the surrounding skin or tissue. The dead fat cells are naturally processed and flushed out by the body's immune and lymphatic systems over a few months.
Radiofrequency (RF)
HotSculpting / HotContouring®
Fat Dissolving protocol developed and Copyrighted by the BC Academy of Medical Aesthetics and Skin Care
(All rights reserved)
Radio frequency (RF) therapy is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that uses Bipolar electromagnetic RF waves to heat the deep layers of the skin. This targeted heat stimulates collagen and Elastin production, resulting in firmer, tighter skin with a more youthful appearance and minimal recovery time. Students will also learn about Monopolar electromagnetic RF Therapy for dissolving unwanted lipid mass to reduce and remove fat from the desired body area. This particular treatment is offered to those whom are not suitable candidate for cryolipolysis or fat freezing procedure.

Ultrasonic Therapy
Ultrasonic cavitation also known as Ultherapy is a non-surgical body contouring therapy that uses low-frequency sound waves to break down stubborn localized fat cells. It is typically used to reduce cellulite and contour specific areas like the abdomen, thighs, and arms without requiring incisions or downtime.
How It Works
-
Cavitation: Low-frequency ultrasonic waves are applied to the skin, creating microscopic bubbles around the fat deposits.
-
Fat Breakdown: These bubbles expand and rapidly compress, eventually bursting. The pressure forces the fat cells to rupture and turn into glycerol and free fatty acids.
-
Elimination: The glycerol is reused by your body, while the free fatty acids are transported to the liver and naturally excreted as waste.
Students will learn efficient techniques to apply the device's probes on body and optimal hand strokes and probe movement to maximize the desired results. Side effects, contraindications and suitable candidates selection will be discussed and examined.

ShockWave Therapy
Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-energy acoustic sound waves to stimulate natural healing in damaged muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It is frequently used for chronic musculoskeletal conditions like plantar fasciitis and tennis elbow, typically taking 3 to 5 sessions to achieve significant pain relief.
How It Works
-
Mechano-transduction: The rapid sound waves pass through the skin, causing microscopic pressure and stress reactions in the affected tissues.
-
Increased Circulation: This "stress" triggers a healing cascade, bringing oxygen-rich blood to the area, breaking down scar tissue, and accelerating cell regeneration.
Nerve Stimulation: The acoustic pulses directly stimulate pain receptors, providing immediate localized pain relief.
